Desert and Camel Safaris

SUNSET SAFARI

A . Firstly, you will visit two historical monuments outside of Jaisalmer city, Bada Bagh and Amar Sagar. You will then travel to Barana, a small village outside of Khuri. Here you will take the camels and ride into the desert until sunset. You will then return by jeep to Jaisalmer. Rs.950 Per Person

B . You have to option of staying in the desert after sunset. Dinner will be freshly prepared on the campfire (weather permitting) while you relax on the sand dunes. You will return by jeep to Jaisalmer arriving at approximately 10:30pm. Rs 1250 Per Person

OVERNIGHT SAFARI RS 1850 Per Person

At approximately 1:30pm you will leave Jaisalmer by jeep. Firstly, you will visit two historical monuments outside of Jaisalmer city, Bada Bagh and Amar Sagar. You will then travel to Barana, a small village outside of Khuri. Here you will take the camels and ride into the desert until sunset. After sunset, Dinner will be freshly prepared on the campfire (weather permitting) while you relax on the sand dunes. You will sleep overnight in the desert either outside on the dunes or in a safari tent. The next morning after breakfast you have the option of going on another camel ride. You will return by jeep to Jaisalmer around 10am.

SWISS TENT SAFARI Rs 2450 Per Person

At approximately 2pm you will leave Jaisalmer. You will then travel to Khuri or Sam sand dunes. Here you will take the camels and ride into the desert until sunset. After sunset, you will return by camel to the Desert Camp. At the camp you will enjoy a vegetarian dinner around a campfire and be entertained with a music and dance programme. You will spend the night in a Swiss Tent which has an attached bathroom. The next morning after breakfast you will return to Jaisalmer around 10am.

CAMEL SAFARI Rs 2250 per person for 1 1/2 days

(Long term safari option - you must book a minimum of 1 night / 2 days to take this safari. This safari goes further into the desert than the other safaris)

At approximately 8am you will leave Jaisalmer by jeep. You will then travel to the desert where you will take your camel. As you ride you will view the native desert wildlife and visit traditional villages. You will stop for lunch and continue riding. After sunset, dinner will be freshly prepared and you will relax on the dunes next to a camp fire (weather permitting). You will sleep overnight in the desert outside on the dunes. The next morning after breakfast you have the option of going on another camel ride. You will return by jeep to Jaisalmer around 10am. This safari is ideal for those who want the flexibility of a longer safari as it can be extended for as long as you want.

JEEP AND CAMEL SAFARI Rs.2450 per person

At approximately 10:30 am you will leave Jaisalmer by jeep. Firstly, you will visit the historical monuments Bada Bagh, Lodhruva and Kuldhra. You will then travel to Barana, a small village outside of Khuri where you will enjoy a welcome drink. You can then take lunch and relax for a while. Around 3:30pm you will go for a camel ride until sunset. After sunset, dinner will be prepared and you will relax on the dunes next to a camp fire (weather permitting). You will sleep overnight in the desert either outside on the dunes, in a safari tent or in a traditional mud hut. The next morning after breakfast you have the option of going on another camel ride. You will return by jeep to Jaisalmer around 10am.

DESERT AND WILDLIFE SAFARI

We can arrange by discussion an off-road safari by jeep to remote villages and the Desert National Park. Also by the same arrangement we can take birdwatchers in the winter time only for a trip to see local desert birdlife.

TRADITIONAL MUSIC AND DANCE EVENTS

We can arrange music and dance events at the sand dunes by request. You will be entertained by local traditional musicians and dancers while you relax on the sand dunes. Packages can include special dinners (vegetarian and non-vegetarian), drinks and accommodation.
